5 SCORE FIRST .25 WINS AT "BOB NOCK MEMORIAL;" "BATTLE AT THE BRICKYARD" NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS AT IMS

Five drivers earned their initial USAC "Generation Next Tour" feature victories this past weekend during the "Bob Nock Memorial" racing program at West Liberty, Ohio.

USAC's .25 Midget competitors now concentrate on this weekend's (July 8-11) National Championship "Battle at the Brickyard" at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Shelby Campbell of Indianapolis, Ind. (Heavy AA), Dean Creech of Toledo, Ohio (Half), Frankie Nervo of Stow, Ohio (Light B), Ryan Fleming of Xenia, Ohio (Light World Formula) and Daniel McPherson of Belfountain, Ohio (Senior Stock) were the first-time winners in the event hosted by the Mac-O-Chee Quarter Midget Club, celebrating its 50th Anniversary.

Jeff Dunfee III of Mantua, Ohio scored his third victory in Junior Stock, while drivers Austin Nemire of Toledo (Light Mod), Justin Garmenn of Grand Rapids, Ohio (Heavy World Formula) and Erica Newcombe of Pickerington, Ohio (Light AA) each notched their second consecutive wins.

Hayden Wren of DeGraff, Ohio, Noah Barker of New Carlisle, Ohio and Shelby Perkins of Germantown, Ohio also posted wins in Rookie competition.

Nervo is the nephew of the late long-time USAC car owner and quarter-midget pioneer John Nervo, while Nemire is the grandson of former USAC racer Jerry Nemire.

USAC's "Generation Next Tour" continues August 8-9 at Kokomo, Ind.
