Last week's USAC Regional competition included a historic victory by Tanner Whitten in the 500th USAC Ford Focus race. Regional action this week is focused on Anderson (Ind.) Speedway Friday night, where a "tripleheader" featuring the Regional, Kenyon and Ford Focus Midgets is slated.

Whitten, of Congerville, Ill., made his first USAC feature victory a memorable one Saturday night at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Ill. Whitten led all 20 laps ton win the historic 500th USAC Ford Focus feature event, beating series point leader Joe Liguori, Tyler Cottongim, Tyler Trainor and Jimmy Simpson in the Midwest/UMARA event.

USAC's winningest female driver in history, Alison MacLeod of Mississauga, Ont., Canada, added her eighth career feature victory Wednesday night at Plymouth (Ind.) Speedway, leading wire-to-wire to win the Regional Midget main event. Lady driver Danielle Dickson finished second ahead of Kyle Hamilton, Terry Ahern and Jim Anderson. MacLeod drove the East Enterprises Ford/Beast Esslinger Ford. Hamilton was the fastest qualifier and continues to lead the series standings.

Bradley Galedrige and Alfred Galedrige Jr. of Los Altos, Calif. finished 1-2 in Saturday night's 25-lap USAC Regional Midget race at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Mich. Alfred was the fastest qualifier but Bradley won the heat race, then led all 25 laps of the feature in his Galedrige Construction/Wirtgen Group Gerhardt/Mopar to beat Aflred, Kim Hughes, Tom Fedorczyk and Doug Dietsch.

Jimmy Simpson of Indianapolis, Ind. led all 30 laps to win Wednesday night's USAC Midwest/UMARA Ford Focus feature at Plymouth Speedway. Simpson and his Fat Tommy's Restaurant Beast were followed to the line by Jordan Pennington, series points leader Joe Liguori, Tyler Trainor and Adam Wilsdon. Liguori was the fastest qualifier.

Grant Galloway of nearby Lakeville, Ind. scored the victory in Wednesday night's 30-lap USAC Kenyon Midget Series main event at Plymouth Speedway. Piloting the Todd Galloway Construction/84 Lumber Yamaha, Galloway led all the way to beat series point leader Dillon Welch, Taylor Ferns, Nick Hamilton and Jared Marks.
