Demeny Has Solid Weekend in Crandon - Super Stock Leaders "Nsight"

Abrams, WI (June 23, 2010) - After a tough Round One in Antigo, Demeny Racing has been running strong and consistent. The evidence is in the great results Don Demeny and is #885 Nsight Teleservices Cellcom BFGoodrich Tires Dodge Ram 1500 had at Crandon this past weekend. The fourteen truck field is really competitive and the bright yellow Dodge is definitely on the move up the points standings.

The Saturday Super Stock Round of racing at Crandon is supported by the Sokaogon Chippewa and the Mole Lake Casino & Lodge. Round three is titled, "The Mole Lake Cup." This is fast becoming a popular event for the fans as well as the racers. Thanks to Mole Lake there is an additional payback to the podium finishers. Every driver in Super Stock Truck looks to this round as one of the most important races of the year.

New to Crandon Raceway was the addition of clay banking to many of the turns of the 1.7 mile long circuit. The humps after the finish line are now rather sizable series of jumps that puts a premium on handling through the middle section of the track. Don looks to the changes as an advantage for his truck, as it is suspended with 3" Fox Shoxs and has BFGoodrich Tires at every corner.

Saturday - The Mole Lake Cup - Round 3

The land rush start saw the Nsight Teleservices Dodge somehow make it through the usual Turn One calamity without a scratch on a fender. Just as the mandatory yellow flag came out, Don found himself in a dogfight with Nick Byng and Chris Bowser. After a few laps of side by side racing, Don crossed the line in fourth place.

"This was a solid performance today," explained Don Demeny. "I have had some driveline issues earlier in the year during testing and in Antigo, so in the back of my mind I was not pushing the truck as hard as it could go. Tomorrow we will get on the podium."

Sunday - Round 4

After a bold statement during Saturday night dinner, Don lives up to his word, crossing the finish in third place.

"It feels good to have a solid weekend of racing under your belt," noted Demeny. "We had a trouble free weekend, just the usually between rounds maintenance. Now I can really look forward to getting to the top spot on the box in Bark River."

After four rounds of racing, Don Demeny is currently in fourth place in the 2010 TORC Super Stock Truck Championship standings.

The next race on the Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMSOIL is July 10-11 in Bark River, Michigan.
