Taylor Looks Ahead to Chicagoland

Belvidere, IL (August 23, 2010) - After a tough weekend at Bark River, Scott Taylor and his #8 Miller Welders AMSOIL BFGoodrich Tire Ford F-150 are looking forward to this Wednesday evening's event at Chicagoland. The two night affair kicks off Chicagoland Speedway's race week which also includes the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series 225 and the Indycar IZOD Series Peak Antifreeze & Motor Oil Indy 300.

The Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMSOIL will build a track at the facility's .5 mile dirt track. This will mark the return of short course off-road racing after an eleven year absence. The last time at the facility, Scott Taylor was beginning his epic run of five consecutive PRO-2 championships.

"It been a while since we've run here," remarked Scott Taylor. "I know our BFGoodrich tires really work well with the dirt and clay they use there. The track is close to home so it will be pretty cool to have a lot of friends and fans in the stands cheering for our team."

It has been a busy week for Scott Taylor and his team. The Monday following the Bark River event, Scott spent the day testing at Crandon. This left only a few days of preparation time to get the truck ready for the mid-week showdown at Chicagoland.

"We are on a tight schedule, but the added time at Crandon is always valuable especially with the World Championship and the AMSOIL Cup event on the schedule for the Labor Day weekend event," commented Scott Taylor. "Plus there are a few changes I'll make in the truck for the stadium style race at Chicagoland."

The Chicagoland event will be the first time a major short-course event is run alongside a premier NASCAR event as well as the IZOD Indycar series. This is a unique opportunity to introduce the TORC series to drivers in other forms of Motorsports while they are competing at the same facility.
