Ross Hoek Motorsports Looks to Future with New Entries for 2010

Holland, MI (April 22, 2010) - After spending several years in the various full-size truck ranks and bringing home numerous wins, Ross Hoek has now joined the recently updated TORC PRO-Light division. Then, thanks to the enthusiasm of his teenage daughter Tori Lynn, RHM purchased a race winning TORC Super Buggy for her to make a run at the Rookie of the Year honors. This is just another great example of how short-course off-road racing is truly a family sport.

The 2010 TORC PROhoek pro-light -Light division is hardly "Light." The mid-size race trucks will now be powered by "Spec" 8-cylinder engines that produce 400 horsepower. "When we finalized the rules, I knew I needed to be a part of this exciting new class," remarked Ross Hoek. "These 2900 pound machines will be rocket ships, and I can't wait to get mine on the track. When we get to a tighter track like Chicagoland, you will see lap times comparable to PRO-2WD."

The two driver Ross Hoek Motorsports team will also include daughter Tori Lynn competing in the Super Buggy class of the TORC Sportsman series. After intently watching from the sidelines the last couple of years, Tori convinced the family that she was up to the challenge of short-course off-road racing. The former Ryan Mulder owned Super Buggy is setup to handle the Midwest tracks quite well, so the team will concentrate on getting Tori comfortable behind the wheel of the quick and nimble Volkswagen powered buggy. "I know it will take me a little time to run up front," noted Tori Lynn. "I have a great support team behind me and I want the season to be fun, yet I want to show improvement every time I hit the track."

In 2010, the United States Auto Club (USAC) has taken control of the daily operations of the Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMSOIL, and the long standing motorsports organization has come up with some new electronic broadcasting concepts:

All PRO and Sportsman rounds of racing will be streaming live on usacracing.com and then archived for viewing at any time. The PRO competitors will not only have all rounds of racing televised, but will have "reality based behind the scenes" coverage all season long with the twenty-six episodes being broadcast a premier HD network. You will get to see not only what goes on back in the pit area, but back home or in the shop between race weekends.

As the season approaches, RHM has recently signed Herculiner, Royal Purple, and Venom energy drink on as associate sponsors for the team, and both race vehicles will be competing on BFGoodrich tires.
