Greg Edenholm of Agouro, Calif. is the new point leader in the USAC MCI WorldCom TQ Midget Car Series after winning Saturday night's 20-lap feature at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway. Edenholm led all 20 laps of the Perris feature to beat Gene Godepski, Todd Hunsaker, West Evans and J.J. Ercse to the checkered flag. Edenholm was also the fastest qualifier, but heats went to Godepski and Evans. The MCI WorldCom TQ Midget Cars will resume action May 13 at the Irwindale (Calif.) Speedway. The MCI WorldCom Midget Cars and Western Sprint Cars return to Madera (Calif.) Speedway this Saturday night and the Sprint Cars make their first 2000 appearance at Altamont Raceway Park in Tracy, Calif. Sunday afternoon. Thirty-lap features are on tap for each series. Davey Hamilton (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Bobby Boone (Palmdale, Calif.) are the respective Sprint Car and Midget Car point leaders. <pre> USAC WESTERN SPRINT CAR SERIES STANDINGS
