David Wall has secured another solid top 20 V8 Supercar result after a chaotic Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 in his #333 Team McGrath V8 Supercar.

"Racing here this weekend has been an awesome experience. I felt really comfortable in the car during the race and did not want to get out of the car!" said David after the race.

"Prior to starting the race I had only completed four laps in this car in the rain so it was a little daunting to start the race in the very wet conditions that we had this morning.

"Visibility on the first few laps was minimal, so I was really glad to get through without incident.

"Off the start I did get a little bit of wheel spin, but given the conditions I was reasonably happy with it. Our goal for my first stint was to stay out of trouble and wait for the weather to clear up before getting stuck into it.

"During the race I had a few hairy moments when I came across a number of spinning drivers at the top of the mountain that were almost blocking the whole track - there is not much room for error up there and that certainly wakes you up!

"Once I got settled in the car I was able to go quicker and quicker, passing drivers as I got more confident in the car. I worked my way up the order to be in 15th place when I handed the car over to my co-driver Leanne Tander for the final run home.

"Before the race we said that a top 20 finish was our goal, so by finishing in 18th we have achieved that and improved on our 19th position in the L&H 500 at Phillip Island.

"Overall I have had a good weekend, with two race wins in the Australian GT series and the top 20 result in the main race."

This weekend David and the rest of the Wilson Security Racing team have been running as the 'pinked' Team McGrath to raise awareness of the McGrath Foundation.

In an effort to raise money for the Foundation, the David's helmet is being auctioned on Ebay. To bid for David's helmet search David Wall in www.ebay.com.au -- the auction closes at 5pm on Tuesday.

David's next race will be the Australian GT series support races at the Sydney Telstra 500 at Homebush in December where he will need to finish in just 20th position to secure the 2009 Championship.
