PERKINS AND WOOD SCORE TOP 15 FINISH AT BATHURST

Jack Perkins and Dale Wood have brought their #247 BET 247 Holden Commodore home in 14th position in the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 at Mount Panorama today.

It marked a consistent run by the pair in today's Great Race, highlighted by a recovery after a spin from Perkins at The Cutting.

Perkins and Wood went a lap down in the flurry of pit strategy and fickle weather in Bathurst today, finishing the race as the lead car one lap down.

Garth Tander and Will Davison led home a Holden trifecta at Bathurst today ahead of the pairing of Jason Richards and Cameron McConville and team-mates Lee Holdsworth and Michael Caruso.

The V8 Supercar Championship Series will be back in action in two weeks time at the Nikon SuperGP on the Gold Coast.

DODO RACING TEAM QUOTEBOARD:

Jack Perkins - #247 BET 247 Holden Commodore:

"To finish in the top 15 at Bathurst is still a good effort for the whole BET 247 team," said Jack Perkins.

"It's just a shame I made a blunder earlier on in the race, which ultimately put us behind the eight-ball and we never recovered.

"We couldn't get our lap back but the car was good, especially in the wet conditions, I think we were one of the quickest cars on the track in the rain.

"It was quite fun as well, slipping and sliding around this place.

"Dale did a solid job all day and a top 15 is pretty good but we could have ended up even better. The team had a solid day today."

Dale Wood - #247 BET 247 Holden Commodore:

"You couldn't have thrown any more variables into this race today," said Dale Wood.

"Firstly, you always want to bring your car home straight at Bathurst and we've done that today with the BET 247 Commodore.

"With the strategy, we had a case of 'could of done this or that', but we were only ever a lap out here or there in putting wets on and it was such a tough race in that respect.

"We couldn't get back on the lead lap unfortunately but anyway it was a good day, Jack did a good, solid job in the BET 247 in trying conditions and to top it off we came home pretty well."
