Coulthard: I'll put it together
"I know my areas of improvement and will put it all together tomorrow"

Consistent top 10 times at Surfers Paradise today have given Fabian Coulthard confidence going into qualifying tomorrow despite dropping to 15th in final the practice.
On used tyres the Lockwood Racing driver and co-driver Luke Youlden spent much of the day knocking on the top-five but, as they bolted on new tyres for the final run, Coulthard said he could not find the grip to go faster.
Coulthard says some improvements from him as well as work with tyre pressures should see a return to the top ten for qualifying, which starts at 10.30am tomorrow.
Fabian Coulthard, Lockwood Racing: "Some tracks are funny. They don't get the tyre grip as well as others, more so in the way the tyre pressures come in. We need to revisit that tomorrow.
"I think we just didn't have enough laps today. Normally you get the first hit and you can feel the grip but I think we got the phasing slightly wrong and then we ran out of fuel as well. We were on for a better lap but got the fuel pressure warning. Obviously the engine slows down so I just pitted.
"I know my areas of improvement and will put it all together tomorrow. I've got a little bit of time to find at the chicane. I didn't want to risk the car today. Tomorrow will be a different story."
