New liveries for Nissan, Prodrive

Both Nissan Motorsport and Prodrive Racing Australia have revealed fresh liveries for the 2017 Supercars season, as every team takes to Sydney Motorsport Park for today’s tyre test.

Having already revealed three of its four liveries, Nissan Motorsport completed the set by ripping the covers off of Todd Kelly’s Carsales-backed Altima.

The fresh livery is wrapped into a brand new chassis, the veteran star getting his first new car since 2013. He has already shaken it down at Winton, and will have his first proper hit-out in it today at SMP.

"The new Carsales Racing Nissan looks unreal, and the team has done a fantastic job to get the car built over the off-season,” said Kelly.

“It’s really exciting to start the year in a new car; especially considering it’s [chassis number] 007, which I’m a big fan of.

“We had a shakedown last week and the car feels great, so we’ll aim to learn as much as we can today before the season gets underway.”

Mostert car revealed

PRA also unveiled a new look last night, with an updated version of Chaz Mostert’s Supercheap Ford.

The 2017 version of the livery has less green on the bonnet compared the version used for the majority of last season, and more black on the rear quarters.

It also been revealed with silver wheels, having run black rims last year.

"I think it looks mean as,” said Mostert.

“The wheels are a big change but the overall look of the car is awesome.

“At the end of the day though it doesn't matter so much how the car looks but how it performs on track and I'm confident that the work the team's done over the break will put us right up amongst the action again in 2017."
