New South Welshman, David Wall is set to make his V8 Supercar debut this weekend in the L&H 500 at the Phillip Island Circuit.

David will be competing in the Wilson Security Racing #333 and will be joined by Leanne Tander.

The biggest obstacle going into the race weekend has been the height difference between the pair. With David towering over Leanne it has been a challenge to ensure the pair will fit comfortably in the car they will be sharing, but thanks to a few last minute adjustments from the team they are confident it should not be an issue.

Current Australian GT Series leader, David has been playing a supporting role within the team throughout the season. He has run in the rookie test sessions at various V8 Supercar rounds and has completed a number of test days with the team to ensure he is as prepared as he can be before the race weekend.

David is looking forward to finally having the chance to race the Wilson Security Racing V8 Supercar this weekend and is hoping he can secure a solid result.

Whilst David has not raced the V8 Supercar before, he is no stranger to the Phillip Island Circuit having raced at Phillip Island in May this year with the Australian GT Series where he qualified on pole and won both races.

David is also no stranger to endurance racing having competed in a number of 12-hour races at Bathurst and in Malaysia around the Sepang circuit.

The first session gets underway at 12:40 on Friday.
