It was a day of good setup development for Lockwood Racing and Fabian Coulthard during the three practice sessions for round two of the V8 Supercar Championship at Symmons Plains today.
Following a strong run at the first round in Adelaide and the Australian Grand Prix support program, a confident Coulthard worked diligently with the team on car setup, finishing the first session fourth, the second session sixth and the final session in a comfortable seventh position. For Coulthard and the Lockwood Racing team it was all about setting the car up for the vital two qualifying sessions and races tomorrow - and on that front it was a job well done.
Fabian Coulthard
"We've rolled the car out of the truck and it's pretty good. We just need to make a couple of changes to get the car feeling a little bit nicer in a couple of spots. We've learnt some things to do and some things not to do today. We just need to collate all the data tonight, have a look what worked and go from there. I'm comfortable in the car and I'm looking forward to qualifying and the races tomorrow."
