Slade, who broke through for his first two Supercars wins at Winton recently, will switch Freightliner colours for Alliance Trucks Parts colours for the Townsville weekend.
Both Freightliner and Alliance are Daimler Trucks-owned companies, with the accessories and parts company also providing the major backing for Andrew Jones’s BJR entry in the Dunlop Series.
“Andrew’s car is a real eye catcher with its bright yellow, but we’ve gone with almost the complete opposite for this weekend,” said Slade.
“I think it looks really tough and will definitely stand out in its own right.
“It’s been a successful couple of rounds for me and really awesome to get Freightliner Racing up on the podium. The Freightliner Racing team had a podium finish at Townsville last year so it would be great to continue our momentum and get on the podium for Alliance Trucks Parts this weekend.
“I always look forward to getting to Townsville and I find the track provides a challenge for drivers.
“Freightliner and Alliance Truck Parts work side by side and on my visits to their HQ they are always really excited to catch up with us and talk all things Supercars. They provide Andrew and I with incredible support, so I feel like this is a special treat for all the team there.”
