A troubled day at Sydney Olympic Park should have ended better for Fabian Coulthard but a slip saw the Lockwood Racing driver finish 16th overall in today's practice.
Coulthard had set-up dramas in the day's first two sessions but, after finding the cause, believes he had a top-five car going into the final practice session. Congestion saw him abort one lap, however, and a mistake on his final attempt means the car's pace remains unproven.
V8 Supercars will be back on track tomorrow at 11.55 for qualifying.
Fabian Coulthard"In my first session I was having to really under-drive and we were getting nowhere. We made a few adjustments and the car was a little better but in middle of the second session we made a big improvement and it just went back to normal.
"We used our greens in the last session but didn't get a lap in what with traffic and I made a little mistake. P16 in last session is from my lap on old tyres so we've got a lot more improvements to make and I'm looking forward to tomorrow."
