The Team 18 Commodore will be split between its regular Preston Hire livery, and a striking retro-themed pink livery as part of the Retro Round theme.

The throwback side of the car features old-school Fuchs stickers, along with ‘Preston Erection’ signage, that being the name Preston Hire operated under between 1969 and 2001.

According to the announcement, Preston Hire is using the livery as a way of ‘giving the Supercars audience a look into their early beginnings before political correctness kicked in’.

“I can’t believe we have reached the enduro point of the season, one of my favourite times of the year,” said team boss Charlie Schwerkolt.

“With the right planning, strategy, car, and drivers all on their game there is no reason why we can’t be right up the pointy end. Bring it on.

“The retro car looks really fantastic. It shows the history from where all of our partners came from, especially showing Preston Hire’s origins with the old-fashioned Preston Erection livery.

“We all put our heads together to come up with something different and I believe this is going to be a real stand out for this iconic event.

“Our team crew will look awesome in their retro jackets and hats, it should be a lot of fun.”

Team 18 is the second Supercars squad to unveil its retro livery, following Red Bull Holden’s recent announcement.
