Brumos Continental Historics - A four-day smorgasbord of sports cars.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., (Oct. 22, 2002) -- Sports car enthusiasts will be in sports car heaven during the Oct. 31-Nov. 3 Brumos Continental Historics at Daytona International Speedway.

The "World Center of Racing" will be transformed into a sports car Mecca during the Brumos Continental Historics as classic manufacturers such as Porsche, Ferrari, Lola, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Lotus, Mercedes-Benz, Spice, Mazda, Nissan, Chevrolet, Ford GT-40, and BMW take to the 3.56-mile road course for Historic Sportscar Racing, LTD.

Tickets to the Brumos Continental Historics are coveted for the fact that they include both paddock and garage admission. For instance, not only can fans look at Brian Redman's or Hurley Haywood's car, but if their timing is right, they may also have the opportunity to meet those drivers too. Redman and Haywood are yearly fixtures as well as John Paul Jr. and Gene Felton.

Helping aid the Speedway's mood of good taste and classic sights will be the Wine and Cheese tasting. Under the same tent, fans can also enjoy the smooth sounds of live jazz and view painting by top motorsports artists.

The Brumos Continental Historics will kick off back-to-back weekends of sports car excitement. On Nov. 8-10, the Rolex Sports Car Series will make its third stop of the year at Daytona with the Grand American Finale.

Tickets for both the Brumos Continental Historics and the Grand American Finale are available online at www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com or by calling the Speedway ticket office at (386) 253-7223.
