JANUARY

Jan 23, 1972 -- Jackie Stewart collects Goodyear's 25th victory in Formula One racing when he wins in Buenos Aires.

Jan. 30-31, 1982 -- John Paul Sr. and John Paul Jr. team up with Rolf Stommelen to win the Rolex 24 at Daytona in a Porsche 935.

Jan. 30-31, 1999 -- Goodyear loyalist Dyson Racing collects its second win in the Rolex 24 at Daytona as Butch Leitzinger, Elliott Forbes-Robinson and Andy Wallace drive to victory.

Jan. 31, 1987 -- Kenny Bernstein rides his Goodyear tires to the first sub-5.5 second pass in NHRA Funny Car history at Pomona Raceway. Bernstein's time is 5.482.

Jan 31-Feb. 1, 1976 -- Peter Gregg, Brian Redman and John Fitzpatrick drive their BMW 3.5 CSL to victory in the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Jan. 31-Feb. 1, 1981 -- Bob Garretson, Bobby Rahal and Brian Redman win the Rolex 24 in their Porsche 935.

Jan 31-Feb. 1, 1993 -- It's a case of Eagles winning with Eagles as the Goodyear-equipped Eagle, driven by P.J. Jones, Rocky Moran, Mark Dismore and Juan Manuel Fangio wins the Rolex 24 at Daytona on the Goodyear Eagle racing tire.

FEBRUARY

Feb. 1-2, 1969 -- Mark Donohue, Chuck Parsons and Ronnie Bucknum establish a record when they win the Rolex 24 at Daytona by a staggering 30 laps.

Feb. 1-2, 1975 -- Peter Gregg and Hurley Haywood team up to win the Rolex 24 at Daytona in their Porsche 911.

Feb. 1-2, 1983 -- In a race that goes down in racing lore for a variety of reasons, Bob Wollek teams with Claude Ballot-Lena, car owner Preston Henn and A.J. Foyt to win the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Feb. 1-2, 1986 -- Al Holbert, Derek Bell and Al Unser Jr. avenge a narrow loss the year before by winning the Rolex 24 at Daytona. It is the first time the race is decided by less than a lap since the event changed to a 24-hour format. The first three cars all finish on the lead lap. The margin of victory is 1 minute, 49.15 seconds, very close for a 24-hour event and the second-place finisher is also on Goodyear tires.

Feb. 1-2, 1987 -- Chip Robinson, Derek Bell, Al Unser Jr. and Al Holbert finish first in their Porsche 962 and win the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Feb. 1-2, 1992 -- Goodyear wins the Rolex 24 as the Nissan R91CP driven by Masahiro Hasemi, Kazuyoshi Hoshino, Toshio Suzuki and Anders Olofsson finish first.

Feb. 1-2, 1997 -- Goodyear loyalist Rob Dyson's team gives Goodyear victory in the Rolex 24 at Daytona when the Ford-powered Riley and Scott posts a one-lap victory. Dyson 's team sets a record for the most drivers to get behind the wheel of a single car during a 24-hour race as Dyson, Elliott Forbes-Robinson, John Schneider, Andy Wallace, John Paul Jr., Butch Leitzinger and James Weaver take turns driving the winner.

Feb. 1-2, 2003 -- The Grand American Road Racing Association's Rolex Sports Car Series puts its trust in Goodyear as it debuts its Daytona Prototype class during the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the new class.

Feb. 2-3, 1985 -- In the midst of a tire war, Goodyear collects victory in the Rolex 24 with an all-star team of A.J. Foyt, Bob Wollek, Al Unser, Thierry Boutsen and Willard Howe in a Porsche 962.

Feb. 2-3, 1991 -- Frank Jelinski, Henri Pescarolo, Hurley Haywood, Bob Wollek and Louis Krages drive a Porsche 962 to victory in the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Feb. 2-3, 2002 -- Didier Theys, Fredy Leinhard, Max Papis and Mauro Baldi drive their Dallara Judd to victory in the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The Dallara brings to a dozen the number of chassis brands to win the event on Goodyear tires.

Feb. 3-4, 1973 -- Peter Gregg and Hurley Haywood win the Rolex 24 at Daytona in their Porsche 911.

Feb. 3-4, 1978 -- Rolf Stommelen, Toine Hezemans and Peter Gregg co-drive a Porsche 935 to victory in the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Feb. 3-4, 1979 -- Ted Field, Danny Ongais and Hurley Haywood wins the Rolex 24 in their Porsche 935.

Feb. 3-4, 1990 -- Goodyear wins the Rolex 24 at Daytona with the Jaguar XJR-12 driven by Davy Jones, Jan Lammers, Andy Wallace and Martin Brundle take winning honors.

Feb. 3-4, 2001 -- Chevrolet becomes the 11th auto manufacturer to win the Rolex 24 at Daytona on Goodyear tires as the Corvette Racing team of Johnny O'Connell, Ron Fellows, Chris Kneifel and Franck Freon drive to the win. The track was wet for much of the race, making Goodyear's superior rain tire a key component for the winners.

Feb. 4, 1982 -- Lee Shepherd uses Goodyear tires to record the first sub-eight second pass in NHRA Pro Stock history when he is timed at 7.840 seconds at Pomona Raceway.

Feb. 4-5, 1984 -- Goodyear collects victory in the Rolex 24 at Daytona when the March driven by Sarel van der Merwe, Graham Duxbury and Tony Martin wins.

Feb. 4-5, 1995 -- Giovanni Lavaggi, Juergen Laessig, Christophe Bouchut drive their Porsche to victory in the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Feb. 5, 1995 -- Mike Skinner, racing on Goodyear tires, wins the inaugural event in what is now known as the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Phoenix International Raceway. Skinner goes on to become the first champion of that series. Goodyear has been the exclusive tire supplier since the series began operations.

Feb. 5-6, 1966 -- Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby win the first Rolex 24 at Daytona and their second in a row. The same pair won the same event a year earlier, when it was a 2,000 kilometer race.

Feb. 5-6, 1977 -- Hurley Haywood, John Graves and Dave Helmick drive their Porsche 911 to victory in the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
