March 15-21

March 15, 1997 -- A Goodyear-shod Ferrari 333SP driven by Stefan Johansson, Yannick Dalmas, Fermin Velez and Andrew Evans wins the 12 Hours of Sebring. It is the 19th win in the endurance classic for Goodyear, best in the tire industry.

March 16, 1991 -- Geoff Brabham, Gary Brabham and Derek Daly race their Goodyear-equipped Nissan GTP-90 to victory in the 12 Hours of Sebring.

March 17, 1979 -- Bob Akin, Roy Woods and Rob McFarlin use Goodyear tires and drive their Porsche 935 to victory in the 12 Hours of Sebring. On the same day, Neil Bonnett wins the International Race of Champions event at Atlanta International Raceway, but Mario Andretti clinches the IROC title.

March 17, 1990 -- Derek Daly teams with Bob Earl in their Goodyear-shod Nissan GTP-ZXT to win the 12 Hours of Sebring. It is the first of two straight wins at Sebring for the popular Daly, both on Goodyear tires.

March 18, 1978 -- Brian Redman, Charles Mendez and Bob Garretson use Goodyear tires and race to victory in a Porsche 935 during the 12 Hours of Sebring. The combinaton of Goodyear Eagles and a Porsche 935 win six of the next seven races at Sebring.

March 18, 1979 -- John Fitzpatrick, Manfred Schurti and Bob Wollek team to win a six-hour World Manufacturer Championship race at Mugello. They drove a Porsche 935.

March 18, 1989 -- The Goodyear equipped team of Geoff Brabham, Chip Robinson and Arie Luyendyk drive their Nissan GTP-ZXT to victory in the 12 Hours of Sebring.

March 19, 1977 -- George Dyer and Brad Frisselle use Goodyear tires on their Porsche Carrera and win the 12 Hours of Sebring.

March 19, 1988 -- Klaus Ludwig and Hans Stuck drive their Goodyear-shod Porsche 962 to victory in the 12 Hours of Sebring.

March 20, 1976 -- Al Holbert and Mike Keyser drive a Goodyear-equipped Porsche Carrera to victory in the 12 Hours of Sebring.

March 20, 1982 -- The father-son team of John Paul and John Paul Jr. use Goodyear tires on the family Porsche 935 and win the 12 Hours of Sebring.

March 20, 1992 -- Kenny Bernstein rides his Goodyear tires into history as he records the first 300-mph pass in NHRA Top Fuel history at Gainesville Raceway. Bernstein's speed is 301.70 mph.

March 20, 1993 -- Juan Fangio II and Andy Wallace drive a Goodyear-equipped Toyota Eagle Mk3 to victory in the 12 Hours of Sebring.

March 21, 1981 -- The star-studded team of Hurley Haywood, Al Holbert and Bruce Leven use Goodyear tires on their Porsche 935 and win the 12 Hours of Sebring.

March 21, 1987 -- Jochen Mass and Bobby Rahal co-drive a Goodyear-equipped Porsche 962 to victory in the 12 Hours of Sebring.

March 21, 1992 -- Juan Fangio II and Andy Wallace, racing on Goodyear tires, win their first of two straight victories in the 12 Hours of Sebring in a Toyota Eagle Mk3.
