Initial Porsche Daytona and Le Mans Winners Highlight Driver Lineup For Porsche Rennsport Reunion II.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., (March 15, 2004) -- Famed English sports car champions Vic Elford and Richard Attwood will join more than 30 Porsche race car drivers of the past and present for Porsche Rennsport Reunion II April 23-25 at Daytona International Speedway. In 1968, Elford co-drove a Porsche 907 to the first of Porsche's record 20 overall victories in the Rolex 24 At Daytona. Two years later, Attwood co-piloted a Porsche 917 to the first of Porsche's 16 overall wins in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Other Porsche Rolex 24 overall winners expected along with Elford at Porsche Rennsport Reunion II include Hurley Haywood, Brian Redman, Derek Bell, Bobby Rahal, Chip Robinson, Dave Helmick, Reinhold Joest, John Paul Jr., and Kevin Buckler. Australian Vern Schuppan joins Attwood, Haywood and Bell as Porsche overall Le Mans winners attending the event.

Dan Gurney, the only driver to win a World Championship Formula One race in a Porsche-powered and Porsche-built car, is also in the Porsche Rennsport Reunion II driver lineup. His victory in the 1962 French Grand Prix was a landmark win for Porsche and the Porsche 804 racecar.

Another former Porsche factory driver scheduled to appear at Rennsport Reunion II is Herbert Linge. The German racing veteran and former factory engineer was instrumental in the development of a long line of Porsche race cars from the 550 Spyder through the 911.

Additional expected Rennsport Reunion II Porsche drivers of the past with years of experience, and success, in such competition as IMSA and SCCA include Price Cobb, Kees Nierop, Joe Buzzetta, Doc Bundy, Bruce Leven, George Drolsom, John O'Steen, Dick Barbour, Dennis Aase, Milt Minter, Howard Meister, Elliott Forbes-Robinson, Dave White, Rick Bye, Bill Bencker, Tony Adamowicz, and Bill Adam. Current Porsche competitors scheduled to be at the event are David Donohue, David Murry, Sasha Maassen, Lucas Luhr, and Patrick Long.

Porsche Rennsport Reunion II will be open to the public and will bring together an unprecedented gathering of significant Porsche vintage racecars owned by private collectors, Porsche Club racers, former Porsche factory drivers and a selection of historic cars from the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany including the first Porsche ever produced. It will feature a three-day program of on-track competition, track touring laps for Porsche owners, an off-road Cayenne ride and drive event, plus a concours d'elegance, which will be open to the event's participants by invitation.

Additional details of the Porsche Rennsport Reunion II will be published on Porsche's web site (www.porsche.com), Brian Redman's Intercontinental Events web site (www.gorace.com), and Daytona International Speedway's web site (www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com), as they become available. Ticket information is available by contacting Daytona International Speedway at 1-800-PITSHOP or going online at www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com
