Elkhart Lake, Wis., September 1, 2009--Road America will host the 24th annual Vintage Sports Car Drivers Association's (VSCDA) Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival®, September 11-13, 2009. This weekend regularly attracts nearly 300 vintage and historic racecars from around the country. The 2009 event marque is stock cars in tribute to the August, 1956 Grand National division race at Road America, a rain-soaked 252-mile race. In addition to the feature marque, cars will compete in eight race groups over the 3-day event. On Saturday, featured stock cars will lead a reenactment tour of the original Historic Road Circuit, which started Elkhart Lake's road racing legacy in 1950.

The VSCDA is an organization of car owners who support vintage racing in safe, friendly competitions where camaraderie on and off the track is the ultimate goal. Participants are afforded ample opportunity for track time and friendly competition via practice and qualifying sessions, sprint races, handicap runs and enduros. Spectators are welcome in the paddock to talk to the drivers and get a close look at beautiful cars prepared to compete at race-era specifications.

Admission to the Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival® is $75 for a three-day ticket, $15 Friday, $30 Saturday and $30 on Sunday. On-site camping is available over the weekend with hot showers and concessions. Kids 12 and under are free when accompanied by a paid adult. Races run rain or shine. The main gate opens at 7:00 a.m. each day.

Road America's 2009 season concludes with two Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) events. The SCCA Trans-Am® Series will run its championship finale, September 19-20, 2009. The series has raced at Road America since 1970 and features a large field of high horse power cars. The prestigious SCCA National Championship Runoffs® will be held at Road America for the first time in its history, September 24-27, 2009. Known as the Pinnacle of American Motorsports, the event features over 600 amateur drivers racing to win their class championships. Tickets for both events can be purchased on-line or at the gate.

Located midway between Milwaukee and Green Bay in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, Road America is a 640-acre, year-round motor sports facility. In addition to major race events, the facility offers Test & Tune Days, the
