Porsche wins their first F1 race when Dan Gurney drives the type 804
to victory in the French GP, at Rouen (1962).
July 9
The "Prancing Horse" logo first appears on one of Enzo Ferrari's cars (1932).
July 10
Arturo Merzario leads an Auto Delta 1-2-3 finish when he drives his
Alfa Romeo T33/SC/12 to victory in the World Sportscar Race at
Estoril, Portugal. Vitorio Brambilla is second with Spartico Dini
and Georgio Francia third (1977).
July 11
Pedro Rodriguez and Leo Kinnunen drive a Porsche 917K to victory in
the 6-Hour endurance race in Watkins Glen, New York, USA (1970).
July 12
The Maserati Tipo 60 makes its race debut by winning the 2-liter
sports car race at Rouen, France, in the hands of Sterling Moss (1959).
July 13
Achille Varzi drives an Alfa Romeo 158 to victory in the first Bari
Grand Prix, in Bari Italy. It would be Varzi's last race win (1947).
July 14
Teddy Pilette, driving a VDS Alfa Romeo T33/2, wins the North Sea
Trophy race in Belgium (1968).
