Newsflash Opel 6h ADAC Ruhr-Pokal-Rennen
A perfect strategy, a flawless drive and not least courageously fast lap times - these were the components that the Triumph of Black Falcon at Opel led 6h ADAC Ruhr Cup race at the end. Hubert Haupt, Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al Faisal, Adam Christodoulou and Yelmer Buurman crossed at 6: 03: 37.322 hours in the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 as the winner of the seventh VLN run to the finish line. The international quartet with riders from Germany, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom and the Netherlands drove 41 laps on the 24.358 kilometers long combination of the Nürburgring short connection and Nordschleife and missed with a traveled distance of 998.678 kilometers, the magic 1000-kilometer mark just barely. Partly responsible for that at the end of the distance record did not fall from the year 2010 (42 laps = 1023.50 km): The season's highlight of the VLN Endurance Championship Nürburgring was marked by changeable weather conditions. At the finish line ahead of the winner was the second placed Porsche 911 GT3 R of Falken Motorsports with drivers Wolf Henzler and Alexandre Imperatori 1: 28.870 minutes. Third place went to Marc Basseng, Dennis and Marc Busch in Audi R8 LMS ultra.
