Berlin - FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), 24 hour races and further races at the GT3 all over the world: The German sports car pilot Stefan Mücke from Berlin has a full schedule for the 2014 season. "That is certainly going to be very thrilling and exciting for me. I am really looking forward to this year‘s season", the 32 year old said, who is in his seventh year in a row as Aston Martin works driver.

He will be behind the wheel of the Vantage GTE V8 for the eight runs of the WEC together with his British works driver colleague Darren Turner, with whom he finished world championship third of the GT drivers last year. The WEC starts on the 20th of April with a six hour home race for Aston Martin Racing in Silverstone (England).

"That will be a challenge right from the beginning, because we won the WEC opening race in the GTE Pro Class in Silverstone last year. And of course, we want to repeat that in the tenth year of Aston Martin Racing ", Stefan Mücke said. "We will do everything we can this season, to get the world championship title that we missed out on in the last race due to a technical damage in 2013. A further crown would be a victory at the season highlight, the 24 hours of Le Mans in the middle of June that will be rated as a race of the WEC", the Berlin said.

And already one week later (21st/22nd of June) there will be the next classic event for Stefan Mücke – the ADAC Zurich 24 hour race on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. At the race in the "Green Hell", Stefan Mücke and Darren Turner share the cockpit in the Bilstein-liveried Aston Martin Vantage GT3 V12 with Pedro Lamy (Portugal). "That will be a further highlight", the Berlin said, who will also take part at a few another races in a GT3 race car in the 2014 season.

After a few test drives as preparation for the WEC, Stefan Mücke will be on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife again on the 21st/22nd of March for setting and adjustment drives. "We want to prepare for the 24 hour race", the 32 year old Berlin said. This year he also is the consultant for the racing stable of his father Peter Mücke again, as far as his schedule has space for that. The Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport is engaged in DTM, FIA Formula 3 European Championship and ADAC Formula Masters.
