Is this finally Porsche's weekend?

Porsche is on course for a perfect weekend in Sao Paulo and not a moment too soon. Although returning to the pinnacle of endurance racing with an LMP1 program after such a lengthy absence is a victory in itself, 2014 has been a disappointing season for the German marque.
The year of Toyota
Toyota has dominated all year and Audi has consistently runs stronger than its cousin Porsche. Toyota has amassed five race wins and a double podium in four events. Audi's performance is certainly not on par with previous years, but they still hold two wins, including the most important checkered flag at all with their 1-2 triumph at Le Mans.
Porsche has been the rather silent third entry and trails a distance off the other two points wise as we head to Brazil. They failed to even reach the second step of the podium until Bahrain, scoring a double podium, but failing to secure the win. To claim victory in the finale would put an exclamation point at the end of their season, which has been a learning experience to say the least.
A perfect weekend in the works
However, Porsche stands the favorite among their rivals to taste victory Sunday. The top two spots in FP1, FP2, FP3, and qualifying have all gone to the white 919s. They yet remain six hours of racing away from the most important part of completing the perfect weekend, but their strength at Interlagos has proven this their most realistic shot at besting the other two factory efforts.
Do you believe tomorrow will be Porsche's day?
