Large entry list for ‘The Prologue’ test at Paul Ricard

Audi, Toyota and Porsche will have two cars each testing.

With just three weeks to go until the start of The Prologue, the entry list for the official test for the FIA World Endurance Championship has been released with 27 of the 31 full season entries making the trip to the Circuit Paul Ricard.

Audi, Toyota and Porsche will each be bringing their two car LMP1-H entries and full crews, as previously announced by the teams, to The Prologue. This will be the first opportunity for the world championship contenders to test side by side on the same track and for the public to see them on Saturday 29 March.

Rebellion Racing will be attending The Prologue with last year’s Lola-Toyota as the new Rebellion R-One is still being prepared for its debut in the FIA WEC. The Lotus team is also unable to attend with itsT129-AER LMP1-L contender for the same reasons.

LMP2 will have six of the seven full season cars in attendance at The Prologue. Millenium Racing will field its two ORECA Nissans with John Martin joining Fabien Giroix in the nr22 and Shinji Nakano in the nr23 car. SMP Racing will also bring both its ORECA Nissans, with all six drivers attending – Sergey Zlobin, Nicolas Minassian and Maurizio Mediani in the nr27 car and Kirill Ladygin, Viktor Shaitar and Anton Ladygin in the nr37 entry.

G-Drive Racing will field its Morgan-Nissan for Roman Rusinov, Olivier Pla and Julien Canal while KCMG will bring itsORECA-Nissan for the British duo of Matthew Howson and Richard Bradley to test. All-British team Strakka Racing will be attending with the brand new Dome-Strakka S103-Nissan for its debutin the hands of regular drivers Nick Leventis, Jonny Kane and Danny Watts.

Five of the seven contenders in LMGTE Pro will be present, with Porsche AG Team Manthey bringing both 911 RSRs to Le Castellet with JorgBergmeister, Patrick Pilet and Nick Tandy in the nr91 car and Marco Holzer, Fred Makowiecki and Richard Lietz in the nr92 car. Two Ferrari 458s will be on track with the nr71 AF Corse of Davide Rigon and the nr52 Ram Racing Ferrari of Matt Griffin, Alvaro Parente and James Rossiter. Aston Martin Racing will bring the nr99 Vantage with Alex MacDowall, Darryl O’Young and Fernando Rees performing the test duties.

Seven of the eight full season entries in the LMGTE Am class will be testing at The Prologue. Four Ferraris, one each for Ram Racing and 8Star Motorsports and two for AF Corse will be on track. Prospeed Competition and Proton Competition will be in attendance with their Porsche 911 GT3 RSRs, along with the all Danish nr95 Aston Martin Racing Vantage.

The two days of testing at The Prologue will begin at 9am on Friday 28March for three sessions, including a run in the dark on Friday evening. The event will continue on Saturday with the public being invited to attend and take part in an autograph session at lunchtime.
