New developments in Colin Kolles' Lotus T129 LM P1 debut

As Motorsport.com first reported two weeks ago, head of Kodewa and former HRT and Force India boss Colin Kolles is facing delays in his LM P1 project, the Lotus T129, as well as his attempt to return to Formula One with a 2015 entry due to legal actions.

Kolles is reportedly having trouble settling unpaid fees to former collaborator Stéphane Chosse, CEO of ADESS AG, the firm which designed the Lotus T128 LM P2, raced by the Kodewa team in the World Endurance Championship and at Le Mans in 2013. In fact, it was ADESS AG which obtained a court order to seize the Kodewa cars at Le Mans last year only hours before the race. The legal action failed and the two T128 LM P2 entries were allowed to race.

Now, it is being reported that a new court order recently led to a police search of Kodewa's offices including computer files. These files have been recovered and are currently being analyzed by experts with findings to be reported at a later date.

The Lotus T129 LM P1 is still listed on the WEC and Le Mans entry lists with Christijan Albers the only driver. However, it remains unclear whether the team will be ready in time to attend the official tests at Paul Ricard later this month.

Meanwhile the FIA has delayed their decision on the new 2015 F1 entries until a later date, meaning the two likely candidates, Kolles and NASCAR team owner Gene Haas, will have to wait for their proposals to be further reviewed.
