Having put the #2 Porsche on top during the morning session, Jani went to the top of the times in the opening hour of the day's final running with a best time of 1m37.487s, comfortably the fastest lap of the day.
The Weissach marque's advantage over the competition was less than it had been during the day however, as Toyota's Kazuki Nakajima got within a second of Dumas' benchmark with a 1m38.347s.
Audi was third fastest with a 1m39.678s courtesy of Andre Lotterer, although the German only completed four laps.
The Rebellions once again filled fourth and fifth places, the #12 R-One leading the sister #13 machine, with the #4 ByKolles car completing the top half-dozen.
In the mileage stakes, Porsche was able to rack up a total of 227 laps over the course of the day with its revised 919 Hybrid, against 151 for Toyota and only 106 for Audi.
Gustavo Menezes put the Signatech Alpine squad back on top of the LMP2 class, the American driver's 1m47.782s putting the #36 car half a tenth clear of the #43 RGR Morand car in second.
Ferrari, meanwhile, continued its domination of the GTE Pro category as Gianmaria Bruni led the two Ford GTs (the #66 beating #67 again) with a best time of 1m58.109s in the #51 Ferrari 488.
Paul Dalla Lana topped the GTE Am class for Aston Martin, although the Larbre Corvette that had topped both earlier sessions did not set a time.
