Craig Dollansky Leaves Mopar Team By Richard Day EAGLE, NE (June 28) - The 15th Annual Eagle Nationals was Craig Dollansky's last Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series event in Gary Stanton's #75 Mopar Schnee. Dollansky told Stanton June 17th following the Beer Town Showdown at Beaver Dam Raceway he was planning to leave the team after the Eagle Nationals and return to his own sprint car. "We're interviewing drivers, so we're not sure when our next race will be," Stanton said. "Craig just wants to go back to his own deal." Dollansky drove his own car during the first four events of the World of Outlaws' 20th Anniversary Season, then succeeded Garry Brazier as the Mopar team's driver at Devil's Bowl Speedway March 20th. He recorded successive ninth-place finishes in the Silver State Shootout at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and at Pike County Speedway before joining the Mopar team. His eight-place run at Illinois State Fair Speedway on June 7th was his best finish in the #75. "I'm just not happy with the team's performance and I want to go back to my own deal," Dollansky said. "I'm not going to miss any races. I'll drive Howie Gleason's #21G out of Wisconsin for a few weeks until my cars are ready. "Polydome is still my associate sponsor and I'm looking for a primary sponsor. I'm changing my number to #7 (from #1x). The car will still be red with gold trim." Dollansky enters this weekend's Iowa Ethanol Classic ranking 15th in the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series driver standings. Stanton is 15th in car owner points. WoO
