Farmer City, IL (June 13) - With the way the Amoco Team was running, it was only a matter of time before they broke through and won a Pennzoil World of Outlaws "A" Feature. On Tuesday night, Dale Blaney seized the opportunity and won his first career WoO "A" Feature leading all thirty laps to claim the win at Farmer City Raceway.

"I'm really happy for this Amoco Team tonight," said Blaney. "I didn't feel that good about our qualifying run, but as it worked out we started on the front row of our heat. Finally, I didn't make a mistake when the car was working well. We've had a couple of other opportunities this season when we were in a position to get a win and I'd make a mistake, but tonight everything went well. Hopefully, we can capitalize on this and get a couple more here real quick."

Blaney, who qualified 11th in the field of 42 cars, was the class of the field after qualifications as he led every lap of the third NAPA Heat Race, the first Channellock Dash and "A" Feature. He dominated both the heat race and the Dash winning by a wide margin, and by feature time, the racetrack had taken rubber, which made passing difficult. Blaney held off 15-time WoO Champion Steve Kinser and seemed to get a caution flag every time he caught lapped traffic. The victory pushed Blaney to within 86 points of fifth place in the WoO standings.

"We thought we were close to getting one," said Blaney. "We kept running fourth or fifth which was good, but we hadn't finished in the top three all year. I talked with my brother (Car-Owner & former WoO Champion, Dave Blaney) earlier this week and he told me to hang in there and make something happen. I'm really happy that we took advantage of things tonight and got our first win."
