Craig Dollansky Medical Update
Rossburg, OH-- September 20, 2008--Craig Dollansky suffered a compound fracture in his upper right arm on Friday night in the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series event at Eldora Speedway, after being involved in a wicked wreck in turn one with Jason Meyers and Tim Shaffer on the 24th lap of the 30-lap event.
Dollansky was taken to a local hospital before being transported to the Dayton, Ohio hospital, where he was set to undergo surgery on his right arm this afternoon. The recovery time is expected to be six to eight weeks.
The native of Elk River, Minnesota has won eight overall events this season and is currently third in points on the strength of 44 Top-10 finishes.
Brooke Tatnell, who has eight career Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series A-Feature wins, will fill in for Dollansky aboard the Snap-on Tools Maxim for Larry Woodward Racing beginning on Sunday, September 21 at Lebanon Valley Speedway in New York.
