KINSER CAPTURES KINGS' RANSOM AT ELDORA

ROSSBURG, Ohio (July 19, 2010) -- Steve Kinser won his seventh Kings Royal World of Outlaws Sprint Car race at Eldora Speedway, the latest accomplishment in his brilliant career. He is the all-time leader in Kings Royal wins.

It was a busy week for the Outlaws. Joey Saldana won the Knight before the Kings Royal event, Craig Dollanski won at Cedar Lake Speedway and Saldana won the special LaCrosse Footwear Extreme Tough Challenge race, part of a multi-race special series.

Goodyear is the sole tire provider for the rear wheel positions of the Outlaws Sprint Car Series. The front wheel positions are open to competition among tiremakers.

Kinser victory was his fifth of 2010, but he had to work for it. Kinser led the first 11 laps, and then surrendered the lead to Kerry Madsen for the next 17 circuits around the half-mile Eldora high banks. But Kinser got the lead back on lap 39 and led the rest of the way. Madsen finished second, followed by Danny Lasoski, Donny Schatz and Greg Williams. Paul McMahan had the best lap during time trials, averaging 135.962 mph.

McMahan had an excellent week. He was the fastest in qualifying three times and finished among the top five in two races. He took third place in the LaCrosse race.

Saldana's win at Eldora came at the front of a select group of racers. Schatz finished second, followed by McMahan, Kinser and Lucas Wolfe. McMahan's qualifying lap averaged 135.227 mph.

Dollanski out ran Jason Meyers at Cedar Lake. Sammy Swindell was third in that race, followed by Jason Sides and McMahan. McMahan's best lap during time trials was clocked at 123.649 mph around the 3/8 oval.

Saldana, Schatz and McMahan were the top finishers in the LaCrosse event. Shane Clanton leads Saldana atop the special series standings, 14-12.
