HAMILTON HIRES GAERTE, ACQUIRES CORNWELL TOOLS SPONSORSHIP MANHEIM, PA (January 25) - Hamilton Motorsports has hired Joe Gaerte as its driver and signed Cornwell Tools as its new corporate sponsor, team owner Al Hamilton announced Wednesday. Hamilton said his team will continue to race for the World of Outlaws championship, and anticipates an exceptional year in 1995. "Joe Gaerte comes to us with impressive records and engine expertise," Hamilton added. "The switch to Cornwell Tools as our major corporate sponsor promises to be the best agreement we have ever had. I'm also pleased about our associate sponsors - Manheim Auto Auctions has joined us again and Cerwin Vega has come on board." Gaerte, the World of Outlaws' Rookie of the Year in 1989, believes that joining Hamilton Motorsports is one of the best opportunities he has ever been offered. "The team consists of an experienced and knowledgeable crew, top-notch equipment and dedicated sponsors that are invaluable to a racing program," Gaerte said. "I'm excited about being chosen as a representative for Cornwell Tools. They produce a quality product people use in everyday life. My family is involved in a business that uses tools every day; I know the importance of a quality tool." Cornwell Tools is equally proud of its association with Hamilton Motorsports. "Cornwell Quality Tools Company is pleased that it will be sponsoring the Hamilton Motorsports team for the World of Outlaws' 1995 season," Bill Nobley, Vice President of Sales for Cornwell said. "Cornwell is proud to be associated with such an outstanding organization and is looking forward to a successful 1995 season. "The World of Outlaws is an ideal association for Cornwell because of the strong appeal that it has to our independent dealers and their customers. With the 70-event, 100-race season, Cornwell is very excited about the exposure the World of Outlaws will give its products." Gaerte drove the #8TW Maxim for Two Winners Racing last season, finishing eighth in the World of Outlaws point standings. He recorded top- five rankings in the points race each of his first three years on the World of Outlaws' tour. He has won seven World of Outlaws "A" Features in his career, including the 1991 Gold Cup Race of Champions. WoO*eot
