CONCORD, NC (October 7) -- Lowe's Motor Speedway honored Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series Founder and President Ted Johnson with its 24th Annual Bobby Isaac Memorial Award during Saturday's All-Pro Bumper-To-Bumper Auto Parts 300 NASCAR Busch Grand National race. "During your outstanding motorsports career, first as a special event race organizer and then as founder and head of the World of Outlaws, you have literally transformed what was once a local racing division into a series that is now the world's premier form of dirt track racing," Lowe's Motor Speedway's President and General Manager H.A. "Humpy" Wheeler said. "Your tireless efforts have not gone unnoticed and you are most deserving of this prestigious award." The Bobby Isaac Memorial Award is presented annually by Lowe's Motor Speedway to an individual or group that contributes to short track and weekly racing. Isaac, one of the sport's outstanding racers, was well known for his short track exploits and commitment. WoO
