"Show Me 100 next for Kentucky Colonel"
(Ashland, KY) With a break in World of Outlaws Late Model Series action, Valvoline and Mopar driver, Steve Francis traveled to Outlaw Motor Speedway in Muskogee, Oklahoma for the $20, 000 to win Late Model Showdown (May 20-22).
Francis, who is currently 3rd in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series championship point standings, finished 3rd in the 100 lap Late Model Showdown to score his 22nd top-5 finish of the season.
"This past weekend was a great opportunity for us to test for July's event at Outlaw Motor Speedway," stated Francis. "Moring and his crew had another good car for us, and I am looking forward to returning with the World of Outlaws later this season."
For the 11th time this season, Francis strapped into the Moring Motorsports owned Valvoline and Mopar sponsored Freeport Recycling Centers Rocket Dodge Intrepid. Steve is running a limited schedule with Moring Motorsports this season, and the pairing of Moring and Francis has produced tremendous success thus far with three 2004 wins.
Francis and the Moring Motorsports crew will be at the 12th annual $38, 000 to win Show Me 100 at West Plains Motor Speedway, May 27-29. Francis set fast time last year during this event and finished a career best 2nd.
