ATLANTA, GA (February 1) - NAPA (the National Auto Parts Association) and the Pennzoil World Outlaws Series announced Monday that NAPA has become the series' Official Auto Parts Store and will sponsor the premier sprint car racing series' heat races in 1999.
"We're thrilled to have NAPA come on board with us," World of Outlaws President Ted Johnson said. "We look forward to a long, successful relationship with this fine company."
Steve Handschuh, president of NAPA, was equally excited about the sponsorship agreement.
"NAPA is pleased to become the Official Auto Parts Store of the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series," Handschuh said. "The Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series has developed into one of the strongest racing series in the United States in terms of exposure and racing excitement. This addition is a natural fit to our more than 6,000 NAPA AUTO PARTS stores across the nation and fills a void geographically in our present motorsports lineup. We are truly excited about the 1999 season."
NAPA is the world's leading source of automotive parts, tools and service. NAPA comprises more than 6,000 NAPA AUTO PARTS stores and more than 9,000 affiliated NAPA AutoCare repair facilities throughout North America.
In addition to being America's first choice for automotive parts and accessories, NAPA is also a leading supplier of specialty parts and equipment for collision repair, heavy duty truck and industrial markets. NAPA tools and equipment set the industry standard for value and quality.
