Parker Hannifin Announces Schatz Sponsorship

CLEVELAND (February 5) - Parker Hannifin is pleased to announce it will sponsor sprint car driver Donny Schatz during the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series' "100 Years of Trucking" tribute in 1999. The World of Outlaws, the world's largest sprint car racing series, is scheduled to run a 73-event schedule over 105 race dates at 47 racing facilities across the country. The "100 Years of Trucking" tribute includes 10 events in July. This year, 12 select Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series events will be nationally televised live on TNN Motorsports. "This is a great opportunity for us to take our racing efforts to the next level," Jeff Sloan, Marketing Projects Manager with the Fluid Connectors Group, said. Schatz has been racing competitively for 11 years and is expected to be a front-runner during the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series' 1999 season. He was the series' Rookie of the Year in 1997 after winning the National Wissota Sprint Car Championship the year before.
