World of Outlaws Championship Points Through June 29
Joey Saldana cut eight points off of Donny Schatz's lead in the championship standings after his win on Friday night at River Cities Speedway. Saldana earned five bonus points for setting fast time, with Schatz earning three bonus points for being the third-fastest in time trials. The margin between the two is now 96 points.
Danny Lasoski used his 28th Top-10 finish of the season to remain in the third spot, with Daryn Pittman fourth, Jason Meyers fifth, Steve Kinser sixth, Craig Dollansky seventh, Paul McMahan eighth, Jason Solwold ninth and Tim Shaffer 10th.
Jac Haudenschild used a second-place finish on Friday night to close to within 19 points of Shaffer in 10th.
Kerry Madsen used a fifth-place finish to vault into the 14th spot in points. The native of St. Mary's, NSW, Australia continues to lead the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award standings as well.
Fellow rookie Zach Chappell also gained a spot after a solid run on Friday night, as he moved into 19th in the championship standings.
The World of Outlaws wrap-up the Duel in the Dakotas tonight at Red River Valley Speedway, in West Fargo, North Dakota with the third event of the "SuperClean Summer of Money" on ESPN2.
