WHAT: The Pennzoil World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series presented by Baxter Auto Parts & Auto Value at the new Portland Speedway dirt track.

WHEN: Friday August 25 & Saturday August 26. Gates open at 5pm, with racing at 7pm.

ADMISSION: Reserved seating is $49, $59, or $69 for two-day tickets, general admission is $35(rows A,B,C) Kids 12 and under are $29 in the lower reserved section.

NOTES OF INTERESTS:

· This is the inaugural event on the new clay half-mile oval for the Pennzoil World of Outlaws. The new clay-racing surface has been widened, and the corners have been raised for smoother transitions.

· A new state-of-the-art MUSCO Lighting system has been installed at the racetrack.

· The Pennzoil World of Outlaws is largest high profile dirt racing series in America. The series competes in over 70 events February through November with nearly one third of the events being televised live on TNN.

· Fifteen time World of Outlaws champion Steve Kinser leads the “Outlaws” into Portland, and is arguably the greatest driver ever to pilot a sprint car. He has over 430 career sprint car victories. Kinser is the current 2000 season point leader

· Portland Speedway and Baxter Auto Parts have signed a three-year sponsorship agreement to host the Pennzoil World of Outlaws at Portland Speedway.
