Salina Highbanks Speedway hosts the final trip to Oklahoma during the "Salute to the King" tour for 20-time World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series champion Steve Kinser.
The only World of Outlaws event in the state is set for Friday, April 25, with Kinser seeking his first victory at the fast track during his final visit as a full-time competitor.
"It's always good to be racing in Oklahoma," Kinser said. "We've had so many good nights at tracks all over the state since the Outlaws started, but we've only been to Salina Highbanks a couple of times."
Kinser has recorded 16 feature victories in Oklahoma, including his first in 1980. He finished third during his inaugural visit to Salina Highbanks Speedway in 2011 and he placed sixth last year.
"It's just a matter of being able to get around there the best," he said. "If the track widens out then you can use the top, middle and bottom. You like it when a banked track gets slick so you can use it to your advantage with slide jobs."
Kinser, who is the winningest driver in World of Outlaws history, already has one win this season.
"With the caliber of competition we have right now, you have to be somewhat close to the front and have a car that is capable of going forward," he said. "I know the Bad Boy Buggies guys will be excited to be back at Salina and hopefully we'll see another great crowd there."
