With Six Races Remaining 89 Points Separate the Top-Four in the World of Outlaws Championship Standings

Concord, NC-September 26, 2010- Six races remain in the battle for the 2010 World of Outlaws championship and the points still remain close after this past weekend's pair of events at Eldora Speedway and Lernerville Speedway, with Jason Meyers leading 20-time series champion Steve Kinser by 50 markers, Joey Saldana is third, 85 markers back and four-time and defending series titlist Donny Schatz is fourth, 89 points out of the lead.

Meyers finished sixth at Lernerville to extend his lead and was fourth fastest in time trials to earn two bonus points in the standings. He leads all drivers in qualifying bonus points earned this season as he chases his first title. The native of Clovis, California has won 10 times, and has racked up 50 Top-10 finishes with 32 of those being Top-Five performances. Meyers is looking to become the first driver ever from the state of California to win a World of Outlaws title.

Steve Kinser finished sixth at Eldora to pick up his series leading 54th Top-10 finish of the season. He also leads the series with 37 Top-Fives as he chases his record 21st title. He worked his way back to 13th at Lernerville on Saturday night after spinning on the 28th lap. Kinser has won eight times this season, which is third most on the tour.

Joey Saldana, who missed the race at Lernerville after being injured on Friday night at Eldora, is third in points, after receiving 75 "Medical Exemption" points on Saturday night. The second generation driver leads the World of Outlaws with 13 A-Feature wins this season. He has amassed 46 Top-10 finishes with 36 of those being Top-Fives as he chases his first title.

Donny Schatz used his win in the Commonwealth Clash on Saturday night to gain ground on all four drivers ahead of him in the title battle and now is just three points out of the third spot, 39 out of second and 89 out of the lead as he seeks his fifth straight title. The North Dakota native opened the weekend with a seventh-place finish at Eldora. He has five A-Feature wins this season to go along with 50 Top-10 finishes and 34 Top-Five performances.

Jason Sides remains fifth in points after finishing ninth at Eldora and 11th at Lernerville. The native of Bartlett, Tennessee has 48 Top-10 finishes on the season with 24 of those being Top-Fives.

Paul McMahan finished on the podium both nights this past weekend, with a runner-up performance at Lernerville after a third-place effort at Eldora. The veteran has 45 Top-10 finishes with 28 Top-Fives on the year as he remains sixth in points.

Craig Dollansky finished fifth at Lernerville and earned the KSE Racing Products Hard Charger Award on Friday night at Eldora coming from 22 nd to finish 11th. The native of Elk River, Minnesota remains seventh in points on the strength of 32 Top-10 finishes with 17 Top-Fives and three wins.

Lucas Wolfe is currently eighth in points, with Danny Lasoski, who was fourth at Eldora, ninth in the standings and Kraig Kinser rounding out the Top-10.

The World of Outlaws return to action on Friday, October 1 and Saturday, October 2 at the legendary Williams Grove Speedway for the National Open.
