TIFFIN, OH (January 31) - An impressive list of companies will sponsor the World of Outlaws Support Series during its inaugural season. These manufacturers and components sponsors will offer year- end awards to the top competing drivers and teams. Eagle Chassis has signed on as sponsor of one of four nightly heat races. The driver with the most heat race victories in an Eagle chassis at season's end will be rewarded with an Eagle kit car. Maxim Chassis will also sponsor one of the four Support Series heat races. A Maxim Chassis will then be awarded to the driver with the most heat race victories in a Maxim sprinter. The 2000 format includes two nightly dash races, and Weld Wheels will sponsor them both. The Weld Racing Dash will offer a $100 Weld gift certificate to the nightly winner, as will the Weld Racing Components Dash succeeding it. At the end of the season, the driver with the most dash victories will receive a complete set of Weld Wheels. The Support Series rookie finishing highest in the point standings will receive the Brodix Rookie of the Year Award. The recipient, who must use Brodix heads and decals, will then receive a new set of Brodix heads for his achievements. To be eligible for Support Series rookie honors, a driver must not have raced a 410 sprint car for more than five years. The World of Outlaws Support Series will open its 2000 season at Lernerville Speedway April 14th. The tour will compete in 17 different states during the season.
