MARION, IN (June 11) -- Although he did not win both feature races at the CHANNELLOCK Challenge at Bristol Motor Speedway, Sammy Swindell added a perfect scoring weekend to his Ratbag Cup 2001 tally by crossing the line first among the 10 eligible competitors Friday and Saturday.
Swindell, last year's Ratbag Cup champion, has narrowed the margin between himself and the leader to only four points. But he's now chasing a new leader -- Steve Kinser.
Kinser picked up 17 of 20 possible points over the weekend to move ahead of Danny Lasoski. Lasoski added 14 points to his tally over the weekend, but only has a one-point advantage over Swindell after the events at the Tennessee speed plant.
Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series points leader Mark Kinser had a dismal weekend, only adding six points to his total, but still remains in fourth place overall. Andy Hillenburg passed Joey Saldana for the fifth spot, only one point behind Mopar Mark.
