Kinser, Shepard to Race For C&W Motorsports

TULSA, OK (October 6) -- Kelly Kinser will drive C&W Motorsports' #35 Eagle in this weekend's Cheaper Than Dirt event at Texas Motor Speedway and Jeff Shepard will drive it during the O'Reilly World of Outlaws Series' final four races, team owners Wallace and Coeta Ledford announced Monday.

"Our regular driver, Tyler Walker, is going to be running some USAC Silver Crown races, so we're going to use two other drivers to race with the World of Outlaws," Wallace Ledford said. "Tyler is a great driver and a wonderful young man and he's my driver. There's nothing negative about this. We just want our car sitting at home while he races with USAC. He's doing well there, and we're behind him all the way. Roger Johnson of RE Technologies says Tyler is in sixth place and could move up the USAC standings. The World of Outlaws is a great organization to race with and we want to end the season with it. Ted Johnson has been great to Tyler and us."

Kinser has driven his #4 sprinter into the top 10 in three of the eight O'Reilly World of Outlaws Series he has entered in 2003.

Shepard drove the #11H Vivarin Maxim with the O'Reilly World of Outlaws Series for the first two months of its 25th Anniversary Season. He recorded seven top-10 finishes, including an "A" Feature victory at Pike County Speedway March 21st. Shepard will race for C&W Motorsports at Delta Bowl Speedway October 17-18, Lone Star Speedway October 24th, Houston Raceway Park October 25th and in the season finale at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Dirt Track October 31-November 1.

Walker, who ranks 19th in the O'Reilly World of Outlaws Series point standings, has driven the #35 Maxim into the top five in 10 main events, including victories at Devil's Bowl Speedway and I-55 Raceway.
