Foust returns to World RX for two rounds
Former World Rallycross Championship event-winner Tanner Foust has confirmed that he will compete in two rounds of the championship this season, with the Volkswagen RX Sweden team, in the UK later this month and in Germany, in October.

Foust will race a Volkswagen Polo alongside the team’s permanent drivers, Johan Kristoffersson and Anton Marklund at the fourth round at Lydden Hill and the penultimate round of the year, at the Estering.
"I’m looking forward to returning to World RX,” said Foust, who finished second in the European Rallycross Championship in 2011.
“This is a new team made up of very experienced people. With the speed the Volkswagen Polo RXs have shown so far this season I'm excited to get my hands on one.
"I feel very lucky to be able to compete at Lydden Hill again this year. As the birthplace of rallycross, the track has a lot of history and I jumped at the chance to add it to my competition schedule," he added.
Foust has been a regular competitor in the European and World Rallycross Championships since 2009 and has twice won at Lydden Hill previously, driving a Ford Fiesta for the Olsbergs MSE team.
He was victorious at the Finnish round of the World Championship in 2015, driving a Marklund Motorsport Volkswagen Polo.
The Marklund team also ran Foust in four events last season with a best finish of third in Canada. The squad has since merged with Kristoffersson Motorsport for the 2016 season.
Swede Kristoffersson has twice qualified for the front row of the semi-finals at the opening two rounds in Portugal and Hockenheim, but is yet to visit the podium.
“It will be very nice to have Tanner back with us in the Volkswagen Polo RX. He showed very good pace when he drove with us last season." said team principal Michael Scheider.
"Lydden Hill is somewhere I know he likes and he has won there a couple of times in the past.
“He fits in with the team very well and it will be interesting to see how he finds all the developments and hard work we have done for this season,” he added.
The former Global Rallycross Champion will return to the American-based series this season for the Andretti Motorsport team in a Volkswagen Polo, alongside former Formula 1 driver Scott Speed.
He is also competing in the Formula Drift series alongside his television commitments for the American version of Top Gear.
