With Sunday's starting order being determined by reversing the overall standings of the rally, Ogier was no longer first on the road.

Instead, he kicked off the stage ninth, just ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala, and the Frenchman was quickest through all splits of the 80km run.

Although he ended up beating Latvala by 25.3s, the Finn kept more than a minute of his overall lead with one stage to go.

Hyundai duo Hayden Paddon and Dani Sordo took third and fifth respectively, covered within 10 seconds, sandwiching Mads Ostberg.

Ott Tanak and Eric Camilli completed the stage two and three minutes behind respectively, while Martin Prokop, Lorenzo Bertelli and Benito Guerra completed the main class.
