Miguel Campos is satisfied with the Peugeot testing in snow conditions.
The two day preparation tests for the Monte Carlo Rally, where fundamental for Miguel Campos/Nuno Rodrigues da Silva to get to know the reactions of the Peugeot 206 WRC with Michelin tyres on ice and snow conditions, identical to the conditions they will be facing during the next week at the World Rally Championship opening. During the night a snow storm covered the Col de le Mens, located at 40 kilometres from Grenoble, creating the ideal scenario for Miguel Campos to develop today's tyre testing.
Miguel Campos: "These where two very important and productive days for my learning process at the wheels of the Peugeot 206 WRC in snow conditions. We tested and simulated every probable situation that we thought could possibly happen during the event. Technically speaking, we managed to find a good solution, a good chassis equilibrium and we drove approximately 150 kilometres on both days which were fundamental to get to know my new car, more evolved than the one I used for the last years."
Miguel Campos is confident and enjoyed his new car, having found a good technical commitment for all sorts of situations that he may face, nevertheless the most difficult part will be: "To manage to take good notes with only two recognition passages. That will be our next challenge, for Nuno and me" referred the European Runner-Up who will be driving for the first time at the Monte Carlo Rally with a new co-driver, Nuno Rodrigues da Silva, which has an impressive International Background at the Rally discipline.
The tests organized by the Bozian Team, which enrolled the Portuguese driver at the Monte Carlo Rally, pleased the Portuguese. Miguel Campos had Carlos Barros support, the Sport Director for Peugeot Portugal, which commented at the tests ending: "Miguel has developed an excellent technical work and is very confident, he liked the new car and I believe that he was able to find a good setup for this Rally. We hope that he will manage to take good notes and that everything will come out as planned".
