In conditions more akin to Wales Rally GB, it was of little surprise to see Welshman Elfyn Evans prosper, taking a slender lead over team-mate Sébastien Ogier. However, with Frenchman Ogier seeking his record eighth Monte title, this one is far from over with seven stages remaining.
