There will be a bonus for early bird ticket buyers for round three of the World Superbike Championship, presented by Vodacom, at AA Kyalami from April 5 to 7.

Enthusiasts who buy tickets during February will receive a 10 percent discount for an event which also includes rounds of the Supersport and Superside Sidecar World Championships.

Children under 12 will be free of charge. Public tickets will only be available via Computicket outlets, and will not be available at AA Racing or AA Kyalami prior to the practice/qualifying days and on race day.

And there will be a further bonus for motorsport enthusiasts with a“ Free Open Paddock” promotion on the afternoon of Thursday, April 4. Members of the public will be allowed free access into the pit and paddock area to meet riders and teams.

“ The ticket prices were set after negotiations with the Flammini Group, which controls the World Superbike Championship, and we think they represent value for money,” said AA Racing managing director Piet Swanepoel.“ Times are hard, but the event incorporates three world championship events that feature the best riders in the world, and prices compare more than favourably with those charged for other international sports events in South Africa.

“ The free pit and paddock promotion on the Thursday is a new innovation, and we are sure it will prove popular and set the tone for what should be a memorable weekend of high quality world championship motor racing.”

Competitors in all three world championship categories will get down to work on Friday, April 5 with free practice and qualifying sessions from 09h30 to 17h00. There will also be free practice and qualifying sessions for all three categories on Saturday, April 6 with highlights of the day the Superpole qualifying for the World Superbikes and the Superside Sidecars.

Warm-up sessions on race day will start at 09h20 and will be followed by a pit walkabout. The first race is scheduled to start at 12h00.
