Giugliano has competed in World Superbikes since 2012, spending two seasons with Althea Racing before joining the factory Ducati team in 2014.
After taking eighth in the points in his first year for the Italian marque, he missed most of 2015 due to two separate injuries, and completed his tenure by taking seventh in the standings in 2016.
Having been replaced by Marco Melandri, Giugliano was linked to other WSBK teams, such as Puccetti Racing, as well as Valentino Rossi's Moto2 team.
However, he ended up signing with leading British Superbike squad TAS Racing, which competes under the 'Tyco BMW' banner. He joins Christian Iddon at the team.
“I’m very happy to be joining the Tyco BMW team for my first season in the British Superbike Championship," said Giugliano. "I have ridden on some of the British circuits already during my time in World Superbike, and will look forward to testing and racing on the others next year.
"I know having raced against the BMW S1000RR it is a strong package with a lot of potential, so I’m looking forward to getting started and showing what we can do in BSB.”
TAS, using BMW machinery in the past two seasons, has competed in British Superbikes since 2008, and took eighth overall this year with Michael Laverty, elder brother of MotoGP rider Eugene.
Giugliano is the second WSBK rider to join the British championship in as many years, as he follows in the footsteps of Leon Haslam, who became the 2016 runner-up behind champion Shane Byrne.
Sylvain Guintoli has also been linked to a switch to BSB in 2017 after losing his seat at the Pata Yamaha squad to Michael van der Mark.
