The participation to the Superstars championship of the BMW M3 developed by ROAL Motorsport started in the best possible way. On the winding track of Varano de'Melegari, Luca Rangoni ruled the whole weekend placing the car in front of everyone since the first session of free practice on Friday.
Yesterday, at the end of a tight qualifying, the Bolognese got the pole position which has been followed by the victory today in a race characterized by a long Safety Car regime.
Roberto Ravaglia (Team Principal):
"We took great care of the development of this car but I did not expect such a positive debut. This is an amazing result that awards the preparation work that we performed during the last months as well as the commitment with which the driver and the team faced this appointment. The results of qualifying, with three drivers within three tenths, showed that the battle for the first positions is very tight therefore we will have to work hard to be competitive in this season ending. The first place of Felix Porteiro in race two at Oschersleben in WTCC makes today a historical day for ROAL Motorsport. For the first time ever we won on two different tracks at the same time."
